What we are doing?

A crew will be installing hydro cables supported by metal brackets on a concrete wall by the subway tracks. The cables will be used to power water pumps which are activated during heavy rainfalls. The water pumps are used to prevent flooding in the station and surrounding area by diverting water to lower elevations.

The crew will be using a battery powered drill to install the supports during the early morning hours before the start of subway service. Given the proximity of the work to the tracks, this work must be completed while the subway power is off.

Although the bulk of the work is taking place in an area with no public access, construction noise may be audible to area residents.

Work hours & noise

Work will take place each Sunday between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. from November 10, 2019 to the end of January 2020. Work area identified below.
