What we are doing and why

On August 30, 2021, crews will continue survey, utility and geotechnical investigations, including borehole drilling as part of the Waterfront East Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project to accommodate additional streetcar lines to the East Bayfront Area of Toronto’s Waterfront. The survey, utility and borehole work are located by Union Station along Bay Street between Front Street and Lake Shore Boulevard.

The work is anticipated to be completed in three weeks. The borehole locations are shown in red on the map. Future survey work will also be done for the Waterfront East LRT project on Front Street, Lakeshore Boulevard, Harbour Street, Queens Quay, Cherry Street and Parliament Street.
